concubine | a woman who lives with a man, but is not married to him. |
conditional | is when a person can or will do something only if something else is done. |

consecrate | to give oneself completely to God; to be separate from the people so as to serve God. |
consume | conquer; to completely destroy; to get rid of. |
courage | a strong heart that can face danger. |
court | an area around the tabernacle. The area was between the tabernacle and the curtains which were around it. It is like the yard around a house. |
covenant | a promise, an agreement, something like a treaty. |
covenant, unconditional | when only one person makes the promise in an agreement. |
covenant, conditional | when two people or groups of people make a promise to each other. If one person does not keep his promise, the other person does not have to keep his promise either. |
create | to make something out of nothing. |
creation | when God made the world and people from nothing. |
crescent | curve. |
curse | to make an evil wish which would bring hurt to a person or a group of people; when God brings punishment on sinners. |

dedicate | to set something apart or someone apart for a special reason; to give something or someone to God. |

feast | a time when people remember something good that happened; they do this by eating together. |
fellowship | when two or more people believe and enjoy the same things. They tell each other everything. They think and feel the same about many things. |
first-born | the oldest in the family, the one born first. |

formless | something that does not have a shape. |
fulfill | when we talk about prophecy, all will happen as it was said to happen. |

generous | willing to give much. |
godly | righteous, like God. |
gourd | a fruit-like melon. The shell can be dried and used as a bottle. |
governor | leader of a province or a country. |
guide | to lead. |

he humbled himself | to think the other person is greater than himself. |
high places | places on tops of hills where people worshipped false gods or idols. |
history | it is sometimes called “His story” (God’s story). It is the story of how God worked in the lives of people and nations. This happened before we lived. |

idolatry | the worship of false gods. |
image | a dead god; a likeness. |

incense | herbs mixed with oils that give a sweet smell when burned. |

Persians | people from the country of Persia. |
pilgrim | one who travels to a holy place. |
plague | something that makes great trouble. |
plain | a low flat area of land. |
plateau | a high, but flat area of land. |
plumbline | a string with a weight on the end – it is used to see if a wall is straight or leaning. |
poetry | stories told in a special way of writing. |
poison | something eaten or breathed which will make a person sick or will kill him. |
potter | one who makes bowls, jugs and things like these out of clay. |
prophecy | God’s Word to men. |
prophesy | to tell what God said would happen in time to come. |
prophet | one who speaks or writes in the name of God. |

proverb | a wise saying that has been used for a long time. |
